Today, let's talk about 3 things you should "ALWAYS" be doing as an affiliate marketer.

3 Things You Should ALWAYS Be Doing as an Affiliate Marketer:

1 Always Be Building Your List

They say "The Money is in the List..." and there is definitely some truth to that statement when it comes to affiliate marketing. If you're an affiliate marketing or into direct response marketing, an active, engaged buyers and reader list should be your number one goal in setting up any new product web page or blog, etc. Unless you're Amazon, most of your web site visitors are not going to purchase what you're offering the 1st time they come to your site. They're probably not going to make a purchase until you build 3 things with your visitors;


  1. They like you
  2. They feel they know you, AND
  3. They TRUST you.


That may take 4-10 repeat site visits before you begin to build that trust. If you're not capturing those site visitors on a LIST via some sort of lead capture page, then there is no way for you to follow up with your visitors and you may never get another chance to build that online trust with your audience again. Build Your List; give something of value in exchange for your reader's email address. That email address is golden because it will afford you additional opportunities to continue to build trust and follow up over a period of time.  

2 Always Be Closing Sales

Let's be honest for a minute; if you're in affiliate marketing or direct response marketing, you're here to build a business and here to make money for yourself and/or your family. That means you are in sales 24/7. What I mean by "always be closing sales" is that you need to always be following up (see above) with your audience in an authentic manner. Offer value to your audience and the sales will follow. Just remember you're not successful because you're making money, you're making money because you're successful in offering value to your audience.

3 Always Be Plugging Your Affiliates Into More Training

This is all about continuing to add value; not only to your readers or audience, but also to your downline affiliates if you're in that type of multi-level program. Keep learning yourself each day and also make sure you're sharing that knowledge with your affiliates because the more successful they are in their business, the more successful you'll be in yours. It's really that simple. Build a loyal team and continue to offer great value across the board. Now get out there and start offering value; good luck!
